Prayer Matters
Bunbury Youth, have you ever considered that God has placed you right where you are for a purpose? We often think of mission work as something that happens overseas, but what if God is calling you to be a missionary in your own city? Acts 1:8 reminds us, “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.” Our “Jerusalem” is right here in Bunbury, and we are called to reach our friends, neighbors, and classmates with the love of Jesus.

Breaking the Chains: From Bondage to Freedom in Christ – Weekly Devotional Introduction This sermon explores the theme of spiritual freedom through Christ, using the story of Peter’s miraculous escape from prison as a central metaphor. The preacher emphasises that many people are bound by various chains in their lives, such as generational scars, broken dreams, and addictions. He argues that true freedom comes through faith in Jesus and a willingness to “arise quickly” when God calls. The sermon encourages believers to trust in God’s timing and power to break the chains that bind them, even when situations seem hopeless.

Bunbury Youth, have you ever thought about the millions of people who have never heard about Jesus? One of the largest unreached groups in the world is Buddhists, making up over 520 million people. Many live in Southeast Asia, where less than 1% of the population has accepted Jesus. As followers of Christ, we are called to share the Gospel with all nations, including those who have never encountered Him. In Matthew 28:19-20, Jesus commands us to “go and make disciples of all nations.” This includes Buddhists, many of whom have never had the opportunity to hear the Good News. The mission is unfinished, and God is calling young people—like us—to step up and be part of His plan. Are you willing to answer the call?

Did you know that over 1.2 billion Hindus in the world have yet to hear about Jesus in a way that resonates with their culture? Many South Asians, particularly in India, Nepal, and Sri Lanka, grow up in deeply rooted traditions that shape their spiritual lives. As followers of Christ, we are called to reach all people, regardless of their background. 1 Peter 3:15 reminds us, “But in your hearts revere Christ as Lord. Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have. But do this with gentleness and respect.” If we want to share the Good News with Hindus, we must first understand their beliefs, show them Christ’s love, and break down cultural barriers through meaningful relationships.

Prayer to the Father – The Amazing Power of Talking to God Prayer is a direct line to God, a conversation with the Creator who loves and understands you completely. It strengthens faith, provides comfort, and transforms lives. Through prayer, we grow closer to God, trusting in His wisdom and power. This article explores the incredible impact of prayer and how it can deepen your relationship with God.

The Power of Unity: What the Bible Teaches Us Unity is a central theme in the Bible. Jesus prayed for His followers to be one, just as He is one with the Father (John 17:20-21). When believers come together in love and purpose, they reflect God’s power and love to the world. But unity doesn’t happen by itself—it requires effort, patience, and a shared commitment to faith. This article will explore what the Bible says about unity, why it matters, and how we can live it out daily. Through scripture and practical insights, we’ll uncover how unity strengthens relationships, builds the church, and glorifies God.

Living Like Jesus: Serving, Seeking, and Sharing Meals – Weekly Devotional Introduction This sermon explores how we can live like Jesus in our daily lives, focusing on His mission to serve others, seek the lost, and connect with people through shared meals. The speaker emphasises the importance of community, intentional outreach, and finding ways to bless others in our everyday activities. The sermon encourages listeners to be missional in their approach to life, combining a deep connection with God and an outward focus on serving and connecting with others, especially those who are far from God.

In a world moving faster by the day—tech exploding, values shifting, truth getting blurred—the Three Angels’ Messages in Revelation don’t feel outdated. They feel urgent. God isn’t leaving His people guessing. He’s calling us back to what matters most: true worship, clear truth, and steady faith. The first angel calls us to honour God as Creator and worship Him with reverence. The second warns us not to drink in Babylon’s confusion—beliefs and lifestyles that slowly pull the heart away from God. The third is a final wake-up call: stay loyal to Christ when pressure rises and counterfeit worship demands your allegiance. These messages aren’t given to win arguments. They’re given to prepare a people. They anchor us in Scripture, strengthen us to stand when it’s unpopular, and point us to Jesus—the only One who can keep us faithful in the last days.

An Abandoned Life with Christ: Finding Healing in Jesus’ Suffering – Weekly Devotional Introduction This sermon delves into the profound impact of negative experiences in life, how they etch marks on our hearts, and shape our identity and behaviours. The speaker underscores that it’s not the external circumstances, but our internal responses that wield the true power to define us. The sermon illuminates Jesus’ suffering as the ultimate source of our healing, demonstrating how Christ endured various forms of pain and abuse to empathize with our struggles. By aligning our pain with Jesus’ experiences, we can break free from destructive patterns and lead a life of surrender in Christ, finding true liberation and peace.

Unshakable Faith: Moving Beyond Contract Christianity – Weekly Devotional Introduction This sermon explores the concept of unshakable faith as contrasted with “contract faith.” The speaker challenges believers to move beyond a transactional relationship with God, where obedience is based on expected rewards, to a deeper, more mature faith that remains steadfast even in the face […]

All Things to All People: Bringing Hope Through Christ’s Love – Weekly Devotional Introduction This sermon explores the concept of becoming “all things to all people” as a means of sharing the gospel and bringing hope to a broken world. The pastor emphasises the importance of adapting to different situations and people while maintaining the core message of Christ’s love. He highlights the joy found in serving others, the power of hope in a world without God, and the practical ways Christians can connect with and impact those around them.
